Shaw Woods Adventure Engagement-Rebecca + Matthew

Matt and I first met in high-school chemistry class 11 years ago. Following a nervous first date, we have dated ever since. Shortly after beginning to date, our relationship became long-distance for 4 years, as we went to different cities for University (Hamilton and Kingston). Though challenging, we grew closer together despite being farther apart. After finishing University, we moved in together and attended Pharmacy School in Waterloo for 4 years. These 4 years of living together made us realize that we couldn’t be apart ever again (and that one of us hates ironing more than the other one). We have just recently both graduated and moved back to the Ottawa Valley where the majority of our family resides. Early morning on August 6, 2017 at his family’s cottage, Matt proposed to me at the end of the dock in a stolen yellow Adirondack chair (it’s a long story). Although dating for almost 11 years, the proposal was a complete surprise!
