Pine Lodge Fall Pontiac Wedding - Sara & Mike

We met at a mutual friend’s house as a setup. We had dinner and a few drinks then went to Gavin’s. Mike & I are both very shy but once we relaxed a bit we hit it off and have been together ever since. Mike proposed on November 19th 2016. We had been in Ottawa to shop and to go to a Gordon Lightfoot concert, my favorite! On the way home he was tapping his fingers on the steering wheel not even close to the beat of the song. I teased him about it but didn’t think anything of it. When we got home he asked if I wanted to have a drink before bed. He went out in the garage to get a beer but took a long time. When he came in he had 2 beers and opened up one and when I went to get it he said, “No that isn’t your!”…buying time lol. Then he asked how my finger was doing…I had a ring on that night and it had got sore over the night. I said it was OK but I took it off as it wasn’t fitting will. He said “Would this fit?” And that’s how he proposed. I found out after that he took so long in the garage because he had hid the ring in my summer tires and they had oil in them. The oil got all over the ring box so he had tried in vain to get it off. So he was very stressed and had to change his plan on the fly.
