Traditional Tea Ceremonies and Wedding at NeXT Ottawa
Alice & Tue honoured their family and ancestors with traditional Asian tea ceremonies. They served tea to their elders while incorporating other traditional elements like the Asian Qua, a two-piece dress embroidered with gold thread representing the Phoenix and the Dragon. Emotions ran high and everyone was in tears. Truly beautiful to document!
“You shall not pass!” Traditional door games were played which prevented the groom from seeing the bride until he completed a series of tasks to prove his love. Tue had to sing songs, answer questions and shout out his love for Alice in front of their friends.
Tue passed the test and was allowed to see Alice! The tea pouring ceremony began with the bride’s family.
The newlyweds then traveled to the groom’s residence for another tea pouring ceremony for Tue’s family and ancestors.
After the tea ceremony we headed to the Brookstreet Hotel so Alice & Tue could change into their modern wedding attire.
This stunning rose bouquet was created by Flower Rainbow.
Then we headed to NeXT Restaurant in Stittsville for the wedding ceremony!
Alice looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Blue Bridal Boutique!
Shout-out to all of these awesome vendors!
