We met 9 years ago through mutual friends. Kyle proposed just before Christmas of 2016. He had wanted to propose on Christmas Eve but we were supposed to get a lot of snow that day (he plows for the City of Ottawa), so he knew he wouldn’t have the chance. He ended up proposing the day before in front of our Christmas tree, dressed to the 9’s in a suit with a single red rose. I had just got home from my last day of work before the Christmas holidays and I was very confused as to what he was doing. When I put all of the clues together and he got down on one knee…I started bawling like a crazy person. It still makes me smile!
