As a photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing some of the most beautiful moments in people’s lives. Weddings are always a special event, and last September I had the honor of photographing Kathryn & Cody’s lakeside wedding at Kathryn’s family cottage on Rideau Lake.

The wedding day began with the bride and groom getting ready in separate locations. Cody chilled at his parent’s home with his family and Lily, the cutest Beagle ever!

The outdoor ceremony location was sooo perfect! It was held under a canopy of trees, with guests seated on rustic wooden chairs. The blue waters of Rideau Lake provided a stunning natural backdrop for Kathryn & Cody to exchanged vows in a very heartfelt and emotional ceremony.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful surroundings for some stunning wedding portraits. The golden light of the setting sun provided the perfect lighting, and Kathryn & Cody’s love for each other was evident in every shot.

Their reception was held at Ecotay, a charming 19th century homestead on 111 beautiful acres of heritage farmland just outside of Perth, Ontario. The décor perfectly complemented the relaxed, natural theme. The rustic harvest tables were adorned with luscious greenery runners, vintage candles, and the couple’s cake was decorated with a simple fern leaf.

Their guests enjoyed a unique and delicious dinner from Otter Creek Farms Food Truck and danced the night away under the stars. It was a truly magical evening!
