Major's Hill Park Ottawa Engagement

The first time I met Alice she sent me on my way with a box of delicious sweets from her local bakery. I had the kids with me so of course they got the sweets and from then on she was known as the best bride ever! When I told them I was headed to Ottawa to photograph her engagement pictures the kids told me to do a good job because she’s the BBE (best Bride Ever). I think we nailed it!

Tue and I met at a photoshoot collaboration for a model building her portfolio. I was the makeup artist while he was the assistant photographer. It was a creative beginning!

When we’re planning out engagement sessions, I encourage couples to think about a theme to set the mood. Are we going to the bar to recreate your first date? or heading to the forest where you first fell in-love? or down by the water where he proposed? etc. Alice is a big fan of the movie La La Land. So I re-watched it before their session (I tend to fall asleep during movies) and we decided that a dance behind the Chateau Laurier would capture the mood.
