Intimate Outdoor Wedding, Ladysmith Quebec

I virtually met up with Jillian & David over a Skype call earlier this summer to discuss how things might play out during this pandemic. We weren’t sure what the rules would be come fall but we all kept our fingers crossed. They knew they wouldn’t be having the big wedding they’d originally planned but stayed positive and decided to keep it small, intimate & safe. Luckily it all worked out and we got to document their gorgeous day!

Although like other couples we were devastated when we had to cancel our original wedding plans, looking back we feel lucky that we were able to still go ahead with a small ceremony and small dinner with our closest family and our wedding party. Everyone was extremely supportive in our decision to go ahead with our ceremony and our vendors were amazingly understanding with the situation. We couldn’t imagine after a 16-month engagement not getting married on August 8th, 2020. The day ended up being the intimate wedding we had dreamed of from the beginning but knew wasn’t possible with two large families. Looking on the bright side, we got the best of both worlds as we still plan on celebrating with a large reception next summer.
