What is your pricing?
Wedding Collections start at $3800 +taxes.
Do you offer Custom Packages?
Yes I offer custom packages. Please contact me for more details.
Where are you based + do you travel?
I live in Bristol, Quebec and photograph weddings throughout the Ottawa Valley, Ottawa, Gatineau and beyond. I do not travel outside of Canada.
How do we secure our date with you?
In order to secure your date I require a signed contract as well as a non-refundable retainer fee. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before your wedding date. Since I receive requests for the same dates I book on a first come, first serve basis.
How do you describe your style?
My style is a little darker and focuses on the real moments of the day as they unfold naturally. When it comes time for family photos and your portraits we will take control and make sure these go as efficiently as possible while making sure everyone feels comfortable and looks good. My goal is to document your wedding day as it happens in an artistic way that tells your unique wedding story. I love using natural light but if that’s not possible I can use flashes to create artistic compositions. To see examples of my quality and style, please visit my Portfolio as well as my Blog.
Do you shoot Black & White?
I love B&W photographs. There is something so timeless about them. Since I shoot digital, this allows me to decide after the fact whether I want to process the image in B&W or Colour. I generally photograph with colour or b+w in mind based on what I am seeing, depending on the lighting and mood of the moment etc. I typically deliver a ratio of 40% b+w/60% colour but if you’d prefer more black and whites please let me know ahead of time.
Do you have a second shooter?
Yes! I have been working with Casey for the past 5 years. She is there to lend a hand, help out with lighting, and arrange detail shots as well as capture a different but complementary perspective with her photos. We will arrive at your wedding together and leave together at the end of the night.
Do we feed you and your assistant at the wedding?
Yes please! We like food and love a chance to sit and interact with your friends and family. We generally don’t shoot while guests are eating but we will of course photograph speeches and anything else that happens besides the chewing. If you'd like to include us in the seating chart we can easily find our seats or just let us know where the other vendors will be seated so we can join in.
How long does it take before we receive our photographs and albums?
Online galleries where you can download and share your images are posted within eight weeks of the wedding date. You will receive between 400-800 edited, high-resolution images on a flash drive (depending on the collection you chose). If your collection includes an album, you will receive your digital images as well as the first draft layout spreads of your album. After the final design has been approved, the albums generally take 3 weeks for printing and delivery. You can check them out on my ALBUM page.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that aren’t as flattering.
Can you “photoshop” my pictures?
I apply my editing style to every delivered photo. Anything beyond will have to be charged at a fee of $x/per image. For further retouching (photoshopping out objects, tattoos, blemishes etc.) please contact me for a custom quote.
Can we have the raw files?
Unfortunately I don’t deliver raw files to clients. This is because the editing of the images (to make the JPEG) is a part of my creative process. It demonstrates who I am as an artist every bit as much as the way I make an image with my camera.
Can we print our own files?
Yes you will receive the edited images on a flash drive and can make your own prints. If you’d like larger prints or wall art such as canvases or framed prints I’d recommend ordering through me. I can make sure your images are optimized and printed on high quality materials through my professional lab.
What equipment do you use?
I’m a Nikon girl. I’ve been shooting with top of the line professional Nikon cameras for the past 15 years. When it comes to lighting I use Profoto flashes. I bring backup cameras and lenses to your wedding and once the day is over the images are immediately downloaded onto several backed-up harddrives to protect against any lost images.
What happens if we cancel our wedding?
Unfortunately things happen and couples need to either postpone or cancel their wedding. If you choose a new date and I am available we can reschedule my services. If your wedding is called off and you wish to cancel my services, I will send you a termination contract for all parties to sign. The retainer is non-refundable as I will have turned down other couples for your date.
If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
