The Venue: Starborn Farms in Bristol, Quebec
Starborn Farms set the perfect scene for Erin and Jeremy’s epic day. Nestled in Bristol, this picturesque farm features a charming barn, wide-open fields, and a chill vibe. The rustic backdrop added just the right amount of edge to the heavy metal festivities.
The Wedding Party showed up in old squarebody trucks, many of them belonged to the groom, Jeremy who owns Jer’s Auto Service in Ladysmith.

The Ceremony at Starborn Farms
Erin and Jeremy’s ceremony was as unique and heartfelt as their love story. The couple wrote their own vows, adding a deeply personal touch to the ceremony. In a beautiful departure from tradition, their children walked them down the aisle, making the moment even more special.
Erin’s father played a significant role, not only by building the wedding arch but also as the MC for the day. The arch, a symbol of their union, stood proudly as a testament to family bonds and craftsmanship. Adding a fun twist to the ceremony, Doug, their bass player, took on the role of the beer boy instead of the traditional flower girl and ring bearer, handing out cold beers to guests.
The ceremony, orchestrated by Erin’s sister, was music-themed, perfectly aligning with the couple’s passion for heavy metal. The unique blend of personal elements and rock ‘n’ roll spirit made the ceremony a true reflection of Erin and Jeremy’s journey together.

The Reception at Starborn Farms
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the barn morphed into a full-blown concert venue. Erin stunned in a custom-cut white gown with a stylish slit and sported Converse boots, adding a perfect rock-chic vibe to her look. Jeremy kept it cool in jeans, a dress shirt, and work boots, staying true to his rugged style. Their first dance was pure magic. The night continued with high-voltage performances from their band, Beyond Driven, keeping the energy levels sky-high.
Erin and Jeremy are passionate about demolition derbies, so they built a derby car for their wedding, called the “Wedding Crasher.” Jeremy will be driving this custom creation at the Shawville Fair. The custom signs and flag on the car, as well as the wedding entrance sign, were crafted by @enseignes pontiac, adding a personal and artistic touch to their celebration.
Unique Decor & Details
Erin poured her heart and soul into creating the wedding decor. With the help of local farmers and hunters, she managed to obtain enough skulls for every table, adding a unique and edgy touch to the venue. A special shoutout goes to Alex Mahon and his family for their invaluable help.
The photobooth featured stars behind dark sheers, branches in front with music note leaves, and a frame adorned with sheet music, all centered around a cozy couch. A chalk-painted piano covered in candles added to the enchanting atmosphere.
Guests left their well-wishes on a guitar guest book, another nod to the couple’s love for music. The custom cake, crafted by Tabitha, owner of “Bite Me” custom cakes in Pembroke, was a showstopper. Shaped like car tires with music notes bursting out of it, the cake featured tiers of black forest, Earl Grey/honey, and red velvet. Erin made the custom cake toppers herself, using Aquaman and Wonder Woman action figures.
Guests were treated to a trough full of free non-alcoholic beverages and a buffet of amazing finger foods, salads, wraps, sandwiches, desserts, and much more. The “serve yourself” style spread, available from 7pm to 11pm, ensured that there was no waiting for numbers to be called. All the delicious food was made by Suzie’s Diner, adding to the casual, yet delightful, dining experience.

Erin and Jeremy are not just soulmates but also bandmates in Beyond Driven. Their wedding was not just a celebration of love but a showcase of their musical prowess. The band’s electrifying performance set the stage ablaze, reflecting the couple’s deep-rooted passion for heavy metal.

It was a magical moment that perfectly captured the essence of their love and connection.
