Our last wedding of 2020 and what an amazing one it was! Ahhh the details…..From the beautiful florals by the insanely talented Pollen Nation Floral Studio, our stunning bride in her dress and jewelry by Al Mar, the bridesmaids in their colourful mismatched dresses and our handsome groom and his groomsmen looking totally dapper all at the perfect venue, The Grand Hotel, for an intimate “Covid” wedding. Congratulations to Alysia & Dave xoxo

We met online in 2013, just before the age of dating apps, when it was still somewhat uncommon to pair long-term with someone from ‘the internet’. Dave was a man of few words so we met in person right-out-the-gate vs communicating for weeks online. It was a great match and we hit it off so easily!

Dave and I recently took a trip to Europe (our first holiday overseas) during the Christmas break, He proposed in Paris at the Louvre, outside while music echoed through the courtyard. It was a true surprise, and very genuine.

My advice for planning a wedding during Covid, would be not to take planning things too seriously, be patient and know that it will all work out in some way or another. You won’t be able to predict what the social gathering rules will be like, and neither can your vendors, so relax during your engagement and keep your agenda clear to do the majority of your fine tune planning the month beforehand. There were also plenty of silver linings to the intimate wedding we got to have as a result of lower guest count, so don’t let ‘change’ sour your vision, and instead try to adapt and create a wedding that will still make you smile. We are so happy we did not postpone, so for anyone on the fence about what to choose – sure we were not able to include everyone, but the day was just as special to us, and we still felt love and support from all those who could not join in.
